We are a small, independent firm of Hereford Accountants, which was established to serve the needs of those businesses and individuals who are looking for a friendly, down-to-earth relationship with their accountant. All our clients are managed by our principal, so there is always a single point of contact.

We wear our knowledge lightly, and aim to be down-to-earth and approachable at all times.

Our broad experience of working within the profession identified a key problem: most accountancy firms are so driven by their desire for profit, that customer service fails to meet the high standards that customers have a right to expect from their advisors.

Hereford Accountants

Anchorage is a young, forward-thinking practice, and we are constantly looking for new ways in which we can improve the service we provide. We are proudly independent and we will not try to sell you any accountancy or business software. Where appropriate however, we will offer advice and guidance on suitable systems, if we think it will bring genuine improvements.

Our principal is Vaughan Barnacle. He has over 14 years of experience of working in practice, but has also worked extensively in a variety of industries. This gives him a valuable perspective on the inner workings of businesses, and the pressures under which they operate. He has always specialised in helping small to medium-sized businesses – everything from storytellers to public limited companies.

We provide a high-quality, but affordable service to businesses and individuals throughout Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and 90% of our new clients come to us via personal recommendation, which is the ultimate validation of what we are doing, and what we set out to achieve.
